Fiji Blue: The Island, The Mood, The Outfit

Fiji Blue: The Island, The Mood, The Outfit

Nobody warns you about Fiji blue.

Not the photos, not the travel blogs, not even your most well-traveled friend. You have to stand in it to understand it — ankle deep, warm water pulling at your feet, the color of the ocean so vivid it almost doesn't look real.

I was wearing the leopard ruched bodycon maxi dress. And somehow, it held its own.

That's the thing about a dress that fits like a second skin — it doesn't compete with the view. It becomes part of it. The ruching moved with every step. The print was bold enough to photograph against all that blue and still win.

I wore it from the overwater bungalow to the beach bar. To the bonfire that appeared out of nowhere at 9pm. To breakfast the next morning because honestly, why not.

The Fiji Mood: Water so clear you can see your feet. Air so warm it feels like a hug. A dress so good you forget you packed anything else.

Some places change how you see yourself. Fiji was that place for me. And I was dressed exactly right for it.
